Even after ten years, we are still getting used to the idea of being “artists”. Yes, we write songs. Yes, we are lucky to make music together with incredibly talented musicians. But that feeling… of being an artist… it never fully settles.
Then you arrive in Paris.
You walk the steps of the Sacré-Cœur and get recognized three times. You wander through the city, take a small side street that turns out to be the artists’ entrance… and suddenly you find yourself inside a breathtaking room, filled with history and soul.
Some clichés are simply truths repeated often enough: Paris really is the most romantic place in the world.
And somehow, tonight, that room was full of people who came for us.
The concert felt like being carried. A bath of love. A moment where, because of you, we could give more than we thought we had in us.
We caught each other’s eyes, and those of the string quartet… as if to ask: what is happening here?
This is Paris. Where, at Le Trianon, everything came together.
And beyond the music, the warmth of meeting you all made it even more special.
One of the highlights of our journey so far. If we could do it again tomorrow, we would.
Our hearts are full. With gratitude for you. And, because of you, with that quiet, unfamiliar, beautiful feeling… of being artists.
