Great Mother (Reprise Collection)

Not five new songs, but one song in five forms: the original, a symphonic version, a solo piano version, an intimate recording made with Mozambican singer Neco Novellas at Studio 150, and the live performance from Carré.

When we wrote Great Mother, we were thinking about the earth, about how much she carries and how much we keep asking of her. But the longer we play the song, the more we hear a second story inside it.

Everything worth loving moves in seasons, the hard ones and the beautiful ones, and you need both. What looks like an ending is usually just a turn in the circle. That is why one version of this song was never going to be enough.
